A few days ago I stumbled across UpcycleYourLife.com, a blog that features cool and crafty upcycled projects by a single mom named Michelle. Michelle had a blog post that read, How to Make a Wearable Business Card. That sounds interesting, right? Well, after reading through the post I decided to make some of my own. I was inspired to make not only rings but bracelets too. After rounding up a few supplies I started to make wearable Hera Nyx business cards.
Supplies (for ring & bracelet)
- 8.5” x 11” Scrap of Fabric
- Hot glue gun
- Buttons (optional)
- Toggle clasp (optional) -similar here
- Thread (optional)
- June Tailor Quick-Fuse Fabric Sheets (Iron-On)
So, following Michelle’s instructions I printed my text on the Fabric Sheets and then attached it to my fabric. (follow fabric sheet instructions for fusing fabric)
Then I cut out the rings and bracelets
For the rings I used a hot glue gun to fasten both ends and to attach my buttons.
I decided to leave some rings button-less for a different look.
For my bracelets I used a toggle clasp to add a stylish touch.
*Use thread to attach the toggle clasp*
And just like that I have wearable business cards!
These wearable business cards are fun and easy to create. I’m definitely going to create some more.
